About Dawn Christine:

Nervous System & Trauma Recovery Support Specialist

A Somatic Approach to Healing and Resilience

I am a nervous system–informed practitioner, movement guide, and integrative wellness professional supporting individuals in developing steadier, more connected relationships with their bodies, emotions, and inner experience. I specialize in helping individuals move from a state of chronic stress to one of nervous system regulation

At the heart of my work is a simple truth: stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm are not personal failures. They are intelligent adaptations — expressions of a nervous system that learned how to survive trauma and chronic stress.

For over twenty years, I have taught trauma-informed yoga and embodied practices. I hold certifications in Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. I am certified in the Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) and Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP) through Unyte, and certified in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). I am also a certified Somatic Mindfulness Coach.

My work integrates nervous system education with gentle movement, breathwork, sound-based therapies, guided imagery, and body-based regulation practices. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor each session to meet the individual — honoring pacing, capacity, and readiness. By using somatic tools and trauma-informed care, we work to expand your window of tolerance.

This approach is grounded in both science and lived experience. Drawing from Polyvagal informed practices, somatic regulation, and trauma-sensitive yoga, I support clients in building emotional steadiness and resilience as they work towards meaningful post-traumatic growth.

I do not work from a model of fixing or diagnosing. Instead, I guide clients toward greater embodied awareness — helping them recognize patterns of activation, understand their stress responses, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with their internal world. Over time, this often leads to reduced anxiety and overwhelm, increased clarity, improved emotional flexibility, and a deeper sense of self-trust; thus enhancing opportunities for healthy relationships and connections in their personal and professional lives.

My sessions are not about pushing through discomfort or forcing insight. They are about creating the conditions in which the nervous system can feel safe enough to soften, reorganize, and heal. Whether we are working through movement, sound therapy, tapping protocols, reflective inquiry, or restorative stillness; the foundation remains the same: choice, attunement, and respect.

I work with individuals who are seeking more than coping strategies, many who are also working with a licensed therapist using talk therapy and other applications such as EMDR. Our work can enhance your healing and compliment treatment with other therapists. If you want to feel more present, more grounded, and more at home in yourself then I would encourage you to explore the healing modalities I offer. My hope is that through this work, clients experience not only greater regulation and steadiness, but also renewed agency, confidence, and possibility in their lives.
